Mr. Doran's Music Class
Welcome to music!
Well, I've really hit the ground running this year, my second year at Windcrest. We have a new choir program and already, there are over 100 kiddos signed up and singing away.
Music is fun! Music is important! I try to make sure that all kids have fun in music class. I also stress the importance of music in the intellectual development of the child. It is important but it doesn't have to be serious.
We move to music, we sing, we dance, we play instruments, including keyboards and guitars. We study composers and music history. Technology is used constantly in music class.
My belief is that all children are musical. They may develop their abilities differently and at different times but they can all learn and improve just as in all academic subjects.
